yep, the assignment is pretty monstrous. i have to read through the whole thing, then write an essay about it. everyone was so overwhelmed by the length of the reading that today they asked the professor questions about it, up until the last few minutes of class. i guess it's nice to know i'm not the only one who feels that way. lol

my week's good! i was supposed to bring the dogs in today at 10am, but everyone at the shelter will be having staff meetings throughout the day. so, i have to bring them in on saturday. i get to keep the pups, but drop off the mom. it's a little sad because she's been a big help with them. she makes sure that they don't unchi everywhere by the time i wake up in the morning and she feeds them milk when they're hungry. now i'm going to have to be the 'mom'! (minus the milk of course. lol) i'll let you know how things go from that point on out. these little stinkers are growing on me. it's going to be hard to let them go.

lol Cari, u're the best! if i had more taco meat i def would've done that. i freaked out so much, the very first thing i thought to myself was: "it needs sugar." LOL but then i knocked sense into myself right after. Can't fancy sugar to balance out the saltiness lol. That's no iron chef skillz... but imagine if one was able to pull that off in some very VERY creative way.
dang, that sucks. well, maybe next time you could try to add more taco meat so that it balances out the saltiness? i'm guilty of adding salt too much when i cooked in the past (and every now and then), but it's all part of the learning experience. you'll be an iron chef in no time!

That skateboard trick was so 'sick'. I can't remember the first time I said it but I never heard anyone else say it before me. Then after i said it, the whole country was saying it. Especially on tv. LOL yeah those lights can be pretty dangerous. It looked like they had a 10K light up. one time, a set of lights just started sparking like crazy out of nowhere on set. It was pretty scary. The DP was very quick in unplugging the lights, though. Thank god for that. Mike Phelps and the US totally owned the races. Last night's race was pretty darn sweet if ya ask me. I was up on my feet the entire time. It does feel good watching history in the making, don't it?>
p.s. yes, the lighting for the documentary was weird. i tried to look out of the bathroom window to see what was going on and immediately got blinded by a piercing white light. ouchie. they kept moving those things around.

That was exciting. When Lazek came outta nowhere and took home the win for first for the US. Came from behind and whipped the French team. Although the top five finishers did exceptionally well.
a lot of the synchronized moves they did were so awesome. especially when they showed you a view from above. i was watching the olympics from my cabin in monterey. i saw phelps win for swimming (i forget what it was). everyone was clapping and cheering for him. man, i miss monterey. it was so much fun.
yeah it's so visually amazing... just so long. haha The opening drumming and the closing global pieces were my favorite. I looove the glow stick drum sticks. That was hot.

nothing, really. i wanted to play the wii my boss brought, but i had to stay behind and watch the kittens. all of the kids were crowding around, so i had to make sure that nobody was rough with them. i went to the restaurant tonight. sooo gooood. i still heart that place. it never disappoints. on the other hand, that story you showed me was a disappointment. what kind of person would do that? so sad. i mean, i know that was a highly anticipated movie, but it's not worth your child's life, you know?

good good. i just got back from my school's Illustration and Cartooning Departments' Open Studio. Lots of my friends were there and i just went to see their hard work. Lots of great stuff. The night was very nice too, not too chilly and not really hot either. Just perfect. haha.

sure thing, mang. i just took my fostering class today. the foster coordinator is going to call me when my classes let out if there are any kittens available. hopefully by the end of this month, my house with be invaded with little 3-5 week old kittens! i saw some at animal control afterwards. they looked they were no more than a few weeks old. so tiny and so kawaii yo! they were still at that stage where they are wobbly and can't walk straight yet, yet their eyes are open. i can't wait. and yes, i will be sending you a pic when i figure out which kitten i'm adopting. lol

My film's a loose adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven". It's about a writer who checks into a bed and breakfast where he tries to escape his haunting past. It's all Poe themes; death, longing, dreariness, anger, etc. It's pretty intense. haha. When i was playing a scene over in the sound lab, over the speakers, one of my fellow thesis mates was like; damn, that sounds intense. i guess u had to be there cuz that kid is such a crazy mofo. He's such a pissed off guy, anywhere anytime, but when something catches his attention, he says something that sounds so funny to everyone else. lol
