Loving Day

Loving Day is an educational community project that celebrates the legalization of interracial couples in America. The name comes from Loving v. Virginia (1967), the landmark Supreme Court decision that legalized interracial marriage in the United States. Loving Day celebrations commemorate the anniversary of the Loving decision every year on or around June 12th.

Loving Day's mission is to fight racial prejudice through education and to build multicultural community. Loving Day's nationwide events and LovingDay.org website have been featured in ABC News, BBC World, the Washington Post, the Village Voice, and other major national/international media outlets.

It's fun and easy to host your own Loving Day Celebration around June 12th. You can also attend one of our events. Learn more online at http://www.lovingday.org
