my weeks been great, i got to see some old friends before they moved. haha definitely sounds like a good combination! sadly, my friends from cali had to leave this week, and they left me with a craving for 21 choices (i guess its like a yogurt store, sounds soo good!)...and its not in michigan. so sadly, im not going anytime in the near future. hope your week has been going well!
random thunderstorms i guess can be fun. constant thunderstorms are no bueno though. Ah the step away from everything routine, that I do admire. Sometimes have a phone that lets people reach you in 4 different ways does overtake your life. I still haven't found my own private getaway spot. Hope to discover one sooner than later. How's your week going? Lately it's been a lot of amazing tacos and good beer + tequila with friends old and new. sounds like the proper california summer to me.
thats definitely one of the best parts of camping, getting away from reality. no internet, phone service, just my friends and i hanging out. i wish our weather was as perfect as yours. We have really random thunderstorms and its a little too hot to be comfortable, but hopefully that'll change soon.
so many cottages! I haven't been camping in a minute. I do like my basic creature comforts so who knows, maybe I'm too much of a city boy now. Although I have dreams of parking an Airstream in a secluded beach area and just getting away sometimes. Pouring rain and camping brings up an old memory of elementary school, we got hit with a freak storm and got the tent completely blown out. Intense but a funny memory regardless. Our weather has been fantastic the last few days. 70s and sunny. The perfect Cali summer. PS - check your in box on here. Talk soon!
my weekend was great! i went camping with friends (which ended up being one night cause it was pouring the whole time) then just hung out at my friend's cottage for the rest. The last two days the sun finally came out, so overall it was a pretty good time. haha good company always makes things better, (hence actually staying one night in the pouring rain). hope your week goes well!
no need to thank me, just spreading the love. i wish i could say he's a hapa like us but I guess you could say he's a cultural hapa. how was your weekend? mine involved some late nights and lots of driving but at least there was good company so you can't really be mad about that. This week is turning out pretty interesting too. Hope lotsa good things happen! Woot!
thanks for the article, i'd never heard of jeremy lin before but looks like he has a promising future ahead of him. i'll have to keep an eye out for him in the future!
talk about a crazy ass NCAA sweet 16 eh? People were losing their minds. Aw man we got to get you back on this coast. By no means is that a cheap shot at your tan which I'm sure looks just fine, just saying So Cal is always a good place to get away to. We do laid back better than anyone else =) Heck though, if I had a beach cottage, I'd tan there too! Any pictures? That would be cool to see.
i loved watching the final four this year (minus the game against butler) and im so happy that izzo decided to stay! when i was little i went to california a few times. but these days colorado is as far west as i go. believe it or not i actually am tan despite my profile pic haha. but theres always room for improvement and a day at the beach certaintly wouldnt hurt. for now, tanning at my cottage will have to suffice.
i know a little french but no never in school. Took Spanish. Humidity is definitely the lesser of the two evils when compared to heat. Ah you're a Spartan eh? I guess we're like cousins, as i'm cardinal and gold and am a proud Trojan. I don't even want to talk about the NCAA and football though. It's usually my life come the fall but who knows this year. sigh. So you ever come out west? You look like you could use a bit of a tan should you want one. We'll save a spot on the sand for ya ;) Cheers!
haha i wish. its the family cottage. hmm "sans" did you ever take french? thats sweet that you get to go to japan every year, i wish i could say the same. its finally starting to cool down here too, and today wasnt even that humid which is a pretty good sign. although i had trouble deciding between the two i chose green and white (msu). Hope your week goes well!
you're cottage? As in a second home? If you own a second home at 19 years of age we need to have a talk and i'm going to take notes cuz you're clearly doing something right Liz. And yes I've decided to stick with Liz and go sans excess syllables, hope that's alright with you. Well I'm a good 4 hours closer to Hawaii and I haven't been. My parents were married there, I travel to Japan at least once a year which is on the way, and I still haven't been. Matter of fact the only island I got in my book of travels is Japan, but that feels more akin to NYC since I stay in Tokyo. I do live in So Cal so at least beaches and ocean are art of the lifestyle here =) Summer has been pretty good, last few days were mega hot (i was working in the Valley, 10 degrees hotter at least plus LA traffic = fail) but it's cooling down. Are you in school out there? Is it Go Blue time? Anyhow, hope you're having a nice start to your week!
haha thanks! half my friends call me liz, the rest deal with the excess of syllables and stick with elizabeth. I'd love to say that the island i was referring to was somewhere sweet like hawaii but its just a tiny island here in michigan. my cottage is there and there aren't any cars just golf carts and bikes. and as for the summer heat, ive been surviving with days of swimming at my cottage and hanging with friends. hows your summer been going?
