My Hapas identity research- please help by participating!
As part of the University of Windsor’s multicultural research program in the Department of Psychology, I am conducting a research study on biracial identity, family influences, and adjustment in Asian-White biracial young adults. This study has been approved by the University of Windsor Research Ethics Board.
I am currently seeking young adults (aged 18 to 30) who have one Asian parent (e.g., Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Pakistani) and one Caucasian parent to participate in our study, and I am hoping you would be interested in completing a short online survey.
- Your participation in this research will contribute to the advancement of multicultural research, as there is currently little research on biracial individuals. Your participation will also give you the opportunity to gain some insight into your biracial identity and your family’s cultural experiences.
- As a token of our appreciation for your time and efforts, you will be entered in a draw for 1 of 6 $25.00 gift cards for Amazon.com or Amazon.ca.
- The survey will take approximately 45 minutes or less to complete, and is confidential. If you choose, you can take a break at any point and finish the survey at a later time. There will be no way to trace your name or e-mail address to your answers on the survey.
If you are interested in participating in this study or have any questions, please reply to this e-mail (at brstudy@uwindsor.ca). Alternatively, you can go directly to the following website:

Thank you for considering participating. We would greatly appreciate if you could forward this e-mail to your friends who may be eligible to participate in this study (i.e., biracial young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 living in Canada or the United States). Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
