So it seems like...

It definitely seems like most everyone in this group has a chinese mother and a father of some other ethnicity.  Am I the only one with a Chinese dad and a white mom?  I just think its interesting how most hapas are asian/pacific islander on their moms side.

    I have a Asian father (Chinese), but on average it seems that more Caucasian males are drawn to Asian/Oriental women than Asian males are drawn to Caucasian women and vice versa.

    My dad is white and my mom is Chinese, but my friend from high school had a white mom and asian dad. Most of the ones I know are asian mother and other ethnicity father too. In the book i just read they had something about this topic in one of the chapters... Microtrends by Mark Penn and E Kinney Zalesne

    yep, i got a chinese mother.

    i know a eurasian girl whose father is malaysian with white mother but that's the only example i personlly know which is against the norm.

    I made a community for people who get their asian-ess from their mothers side :) (see how i put mother and not mum/mom to avoid dispute? bwahahaha!)

    Someone else can represent the daddy side.

    papa's hong kong FOB (fresh of the boat) and mama's white american back to at least civil war era.

    my hapa friend was saying that white guys like asian chicks cause they like that oriental/exotic "flavor" or whatever AND traditionally in east asian culture (esp chinese and japanese) women are very much subservient to men, and i think many white/western guys like that (though they will doubtfully admit it).

    "Body size/weight and feminity..."?  That's just funny. I always thought of myself as medium sized, but I finding myself in DC for a few weeks without enough warm clothes and everything's huge in the shops here!  Maybe you have a point.

    My Dad came from north korea.  Mom's white -- super white, burns in the winter sun white.
