Are Asians short???

Poll Started June 09, 2010 by Meiko Ohno

Okay I heard a lot of stereotypes of Asians, like they have yellow skin, chinky eyes, and are short. I have noticed that many Asians are not short at all, I'm 5'4. Do you think Asians are short? Oh, and what are some other stereotypes about Asians?

    I voted YES here.

Although Japanese Father probably was only an inch taller than German Mother, German Grandparents were taller than Japanese Grandparents and Caucasian cousins are taller than Japanese cousins.

P.S.  I never have been able to figure out the "yellow" skin part (or for that matter "olive" complexions that are ascribed to Mediterranean persons).  Oh... and it would be horrible if "white" really was WHITE.

in my experiece asians come in all shapes and sizes, compared to all my asian cousins and uncles I'm pretty short, I'm 5'8 while my grandpa and his brothers and most of my cousins are in the neighborhood of 6 feet.

From what I see, many Asians are shorter than their caucasian counterparts.  However, not always necessarily the case!  I am a taller mix myself.  I suppose that may result from being 75% European and 25% Asian.  Genetics is a very varied an complex phenomenon, it really cannot be overly simplified or "boxed" into stereotypes.
