I used to do some modeling, but now it is more acting/stuntwork that I do part time on shows filmed in Hawaii like "LOST" and films like "50 First Kisses", "Windtalkers", "Tears of the Sun", etc. My brother is actually the good looking one in the family. He does fashion shows and so forth. HE is the model!

I'm on O'AHU, "The gathering place", the same island as Waikiki, lol. Yes, there are many hapas here but few of the quality ones are single and of course inner qualities are difficult to discern up front. Ironically I am not a predjudiced person at all (it seems inherently difficult when you start out multi-racial =) Yet when it comes to romance my imagination always pictures a fellow hapa. Somehow it touches me on an internal level as if spiritually I can not be fully understood without the other person having lived this experience. When I was four I said someday the whole world will be like us. Though it would be sad to lose diversity, it would be nice to see the end of racial and religious predjudice.
I totally get what u are saying and I think to some degree most of us on here feel the same way...I have dated a lot of Hapas lately too and I guess all through life growing up, I was always attracted the most to other Hapas for some reason. You are lucky you are in Hawaii, the mecca of Hapas! I love it there! What island are u on?
Believe it or not I have always felt like we are more of a minority then the minorities we partially descend from so I always start talking about this when I meet other hapas. It is such a unique part of our life experience that I have found that even though I didn't PLAN it that way all of my serious relationships have been fellow hapas. None were the same mix, but all shared that multi-cultural view of the world and curiosity for self discovery. So long story shorter, I was chatting with someone on "hot or not" that suggested I check this out and I'm glad I did. Previously I thought of starting something like this and now I don't have to!

I love your analysis! I have discovered those same things too growing up! At my school we didn't get leis unfortunately, but people would bring u balloons and stuff and I never got them bc we were always on vacation! I have gotten the whole one gift for birthday and christmas thing! It use to make me sad as a kid. What is ur real year that u were born cuz I know u are not that old! 1904? lol Impressive pics! WOW! Yup! Two days after Christmas!...So in Hawaii it means you won't get flower leis at school on your birthday and your friends are often unable to celebrate due to other obligations. Usually either:
A)We are forgotten, lost in the holiday rush
B)We get a gift someone got for Christmas and didn't want
C)The combo gift of Merry Christmas/Happy B-day, which is cool except that my brother and I would always get the exact same thing!
D)The biggest sale day of the year is Dec 26th....so no surprise if you get a pair of peach colored socks!
On a positive note, it is the day of St John, the only Apostle that lived to old age without dying a martyr's death....so it is a lucky day for survivors!
In Iraq I thought of that often and felt very fortunate.
