Should mixed-race minorities be required to pay taxes?

Mixed-race individuals who live in the USA pay taxes. Our money goes to our Country's public institutions such as schools, hospitals, and law enforcement that SHOULD uphold the constitution and PROTECT its minority peoples.

In all reality, we know that being protected as a minority is sometimes more demanding than anything given the social circumstances surrounding us. In all cases as sons and daughters of immigrants or persons of multi-racial backgrounds with more family costs than anyone;- the USA federal, state, and county laws should make it unconstitutional and unecessary to require the smallest percentage of minorities, those of mixed-race, to pay taxes since it takes away resources from us that aid in our actual defense. We would never have to fear being convicted of tax evasion. Until we reach a majority status, we inherit societal pressures and unconstitutional discriminations of being mixed-race in the US. In order to "level the playing field" we not only need justice served in discrimination cases and  the Government to allow us to keep our immediate resources at all times; WE NEED to be EXEMPT from any legalities surrounding US taxation of our property, our income, and our purchases.

It would not take away our priveledge to pay taxes into the system, but it would not be a necessary legal requirement. It would enable the smallest number of minority people in the USA to seek and establish suitable institutions that support their life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.

everyone pays taxes. everyone goes through rough patches in life. because you are mixed or a minority doesn't mean you should get exempt from something everyone has to do. there are tons of people in the "majority" who have it rough also, but they aren't getting any special privledges.

it seems like this journal entry is basically saying, "oh minorities can't handle life, we are weak, so let us cop out and not have to do something everyone else has to do."

with all due respect, you are a very good writer and i was almost persuaded by your argument, but in the end, it just doesn't make any sense.

Dana, loads of people A, strive to avoid tax by, 'going off -shore' here In Brit. anyways -why not their own money.

But also; many people wish to avoid 'Income tax', many 'white people' do too.

They say that 'tax', is actually -'Un-COnstitutional'.  Some have been in prison for it.

Maybe we should 'Lobby for this Rigth' and other privilage's, also....perhaps you should put it -up, as a Poll -Tenshi.

Well... maybe mixed-race ppl who are more likely to have less social support or discriminated against should pay LESS taxes or get some other benefits the way Native Americans do. But should we pay less for federal or state taxes or less for both? I think those closest to being half & half should qualify for this the most... while ppl who're 1/4 or less of something might not be able to qualify. Hapa Hawaiians shouldn't qualify b/c they're already considered Hawaiian and get benefits from that + have more social support.

I posted this as something that woudn't be a requirement for "Hapa/ Mixies". That means there wouldn't be jail time for any misunderstandings when taxes are filed or not filed because a hapa/mixi isn't making enough. Especially in the case of a self employed business person. Going to jail means we fail... even if you're a doctor with student loans.

If you look at the numbers, there will be an increasing 80% of the US population that will be poor in the next ten years. Only about 3-5% of the entire US population will have wealth. That leaves appx. 10% of the entire US population with a middle income.

    That is in 10 years.

Hapa people make up less than 8% of the total US population.

    Think about it.

    The numbers are staggaring.

Even a poor hapa earning minimum wage could check a box to save them the taxes, another meal or bus pass to work for the year. The wealthy? or middle income hapa/mixi could potentially have an additional up to 26% of their income (that would have been taxed) to create employment for another Hapa/Mixi or other person. That would be without fear of being contained for tax evasion but, ONLY IF a hapa/mixed race person has NO FEDERAL or STATE or LOCAL requirement to pay taxes.

hey BJ, you're a jerk. "I don't mind slightly poor hapa girls though" WTF is your problem? And it's not right for you to say its their fault for slacking off in high school and college. With the way you talk, it seems like you are the last person to deserve the "top spot". Since you have all this money, why don't you buy yourself a heart?
